Sir, I m a contractor & registered in GST. I Hv recently purchased Mercedes Car. Whether I m eligible to take Input Tax Credit on Car ? Pl advise ?
According to Section 17(5) of CGST not eligible for ITC on car purchase
Because u r registered in GST as a contractor, as per restrictive section of 17(5) of CGST Ac, U, r not eligible for Input Tax Credit. However, a person who is dealing in CAR TRADING BUSINESS IS ELIGIBLE FOR ITC.
